Common questions
How do I log in?

Go to app.theplynth.com and sign in with the email and password you were given. If you don't have a password yet, ask your firm owner to grant you access — they can set a temporary password for you to change on first login.

I forgot my password — what now?

Ask your firm owner to set a temporary password for you from the Team page, then log in and change it. (A self-service reset is on the way.)

Which modules can I use today?

pLYNth (operations) and LYNtel (SOPs) are live now. LYNkd, skyLYNe, and coLYNade are on the way.

Common questions
How do I log time against a project?

Open Log Time (or click a day on the calendar), search for the project and task in the picker, enter your hours, and save. The same searchable picker is used on the calendar's "New time entry."

How do I move or copy a calendar entry to another day?

Drag an entry to another day to move it. Hold Ctrl while you drag to leave the original in place and drop a copy on the new day.

Where do I set pay rates and see employee cost?

In Team → Pay Rates. Each person has a saved card with effective-dated salaries — set a Base Salary and an effective date, and it's used for cost and profit calculations from that date forward. Annual hours can be set per person; utilization stays tied to the team goal. These figures are owner-only.

What's the difference between projected and actual income?

Actual income comes from invoices marked paid — the payment date buckets it into the 10th or 25th allocation column. Projected income comes from each project's invoice schedule (unpaid, future milestones) and shows as a ~$ figure so you can see the forward view in the Allocation tab and the ledger.

A recurring expense ended — how do I stop it?

On a recurring transaction, use "Delete this and all future" to stop it going forward. If you ever see duplicated recurring rows, the Recurring screen has a 🧹 Remove duplicates button that cleans them up (your manual and imported entries are left untouched).

Reviewing & approving
The manager queue, and the compare & merge workflow.
Common questions
How do I add a picture or video to a step?

While drafting or editing an SOP, each step has an upload control — add an image or video right on that step. It's saved with the step and shows when anyone reads the SOP.

I'm writing an SOP that already exists — what happens?

LYNtel checks as you draft and flags anything similar: "similar to X." You can then start a merge so the two become one, instead of creating a duplicate.

How does the AI merge work?

When two SOPs cover the same ground, the merge combines them and tags similar and contradicting statements so a manager can verify the right direction. The result becomes a new version of the existing SOP. Managers can also start this from the queue with "Compare & merge."

Can I delete or combine steps?

Yes — in the editor each step has a to delete it and a ⬆ Merge to fold it into the step above. Steps renumber automatically, so a long SOP is easy to tighten up.

How do I find an SOP?

Use the search box — it looks across titles, categories, and the text inside the steps, and matches all your words. So searching a phrase that appears mid-procedure will still surface the right SOP.

Adding people & granting access
The difference between the roster and a login, and how to invite.
Common questions
What's the difference between adding a team member and granting access?

Adding a team member puts them on the roster (so you can track their time, rates, and allocation) — it does not create a login. Granting access creates the actual login so they can sign in. Open the person's edit page → Login & access to grant access, set a temporary password, or resend an invite.

How do I give someone a new password?

On their edit page, under Login & access, use Set a temporary password (only available if they already have a login). Share it with them and have them change it after signing in.

Where are Preferences?

Use the highlighted Preferences button at the top of the workspace — it opens in the shell alongside your apps, not as a separate popup.
